A new way to earn commission from adverts on your web site

I crossed this on my travels, took a look at the merchants list and signed up on the spot. It pays in UK pounds, US Dollars or Euro's.

You choose which adverts to want to run and put the banner / button on your site. As such, completely compatible with Adsense and anything else you care to mention.

As an example, here's the first ones I added:

Information overload

If I was still working, as opposed to keeping up to date for 'enjoyment' I am reasonably I'd have had a stress related breakdown from the sheer volume of information I deal with, well try to deal with on a daily basic.

As present my hotmail account has around 200 emails I need to deal with, Yahoo has easily over a thousand, while my main address has well over 5,000 newsletters and such I need to read and act on. Then there's the trade journals. In October I caught up to date with most of them. Now there's a metre high pile of journals menacing me, muttering: "Read me if you think you are hard enough..."

It doesn't help that I cover so many areas, I guess. I /try/ to keep up to date with computer hardware, networking, Microsoft, Web design, search engine optimisation, security ...

On a typical day, I get 1 or 2 mailed computer trade journals, a selecton of downloaded journals via Zinio and an absolute minimum of 100 articles, newsletters and press releases a day, every day.

Spam is an estimated 65 million a year, but that's deleted as fast as it attacks the mail servers. That's around 2 a second, I kid you not!

Digital point forums

After wondering arounf the net for several hours, pausing to review a few sites before continuing with my Adsense searchs I came across this place : [ http://forums.digitalpoint.com/ ]

The topline title for the place is "Webmaster Forum - Internet Marketing & Search Engine Forums" but I remember, and shall remember it simply as Digital Point. As forums go (coding wise), it is probably as good as it gets. If you are awebmaster and aren't here already, get yourself hence! I know I'll be spending ages in there. Love it, and I've only had time to follow a few threads.

I've so many things I want to do I'm actually doing nothing, go figure!

Anyway, in absolutely no set order:

I'm working on a smoking awareness site, on the basis that a smoker REALLY annoyed me by starting a campaign in the local paper to allow smoking in cafes etc because "FACT: no-one has ever been proven to be affected by cigarette smoke." No, really, that's his idea. *Mutter*

Another website covers raising awareness of road traffic accidents, with the idea to also raise funds for a local childrens hospital.

Another - d'Adsense - you may be pleased to know, if looking at genuine ways to make money on the internet. Ways that don't involve handing over $49 for fake lists and $99 for equally dubious eBooks. Like adsense, like competitions, like finding the honest paid surveys...

Plus there's my main site, Ackadia which covers everything else :)

Currently planned projects include an enhanced set of templates and styles for Blogger, others for webmasters, and a particularly tidy set for the phpBB bulletin board.
